Kraftwerk - Autobahn
The title track is the soundtrack of a journey along a German superhighway in a VW Beetle. It begins with cranking up the engine, followed by heavy traffic, and hooting cars, afterwards on the "Autobahn" the driver is passing acoustically changing landscapes, accompanied with complex synthesizer beats and vocoder vocals.
In 1974 "Autobahn" represented for Kraftwerk the international breakthrough with top ten chart positions in USA and England.
A masterpiece of electronic pop music: The Musikexpress selected "Autobahn" in 2000 for the most important all-time album of a German artist.
